New York City, NY Four Auto Collision, Mar 1969


New York (AP) -- Death touched three generations of a family Sunday when four children and two women died in a four-car collision on the Williamsburg Bridge.
MRS. LOUISA FIGUEROA, 49, of Brooklyn; her daughter, MRS. STACY FIGUEROA, 23, of Passaic, N.J., and two grandchildren, MIGUEL FIGUEROA, JR., 15 months, and MIGUEL A. FIGUEROA, 2 months, died when their convertible carrying 11 persons, burst into flames when struck in the rear by another car.
SIDNEY CUBERO, 3, and his sister, LILLIAN, 6 months, also died in the same car. Fourteen other persons were injured.
Police arrested the driver of the car which they said rammed the FIGUEROAS' vehicle. JOSE MALDONADO, 24, of Brooklyn was charged with vehicular homicide, driving while intoxicated, being an unlicensed operator and leaving the scene of an accident.
