The dead, identified by Coroner Thomas A. Cox, were:

The injured were MRS. JENKS, 63, MISS ETHEL METTOT, 17, of Canton and JESSE JOHN MILLER about 23, of Utica, N.Y.
MR. and MRS. JENKS, YOUNG and MISS BRIGGS were riding in a heavy sedan, Coroner Cox said, and the three MILLERS, with MISS METTOT, were in a light coupe, driven by JESSE JOHN MILLER, a cousin of the dead boys.
Cox said JENKS and MISS BRIGGS died instantly while the other three died later at the Rome hospital. He said the survivors were unable to give details of the accident.
This was the second accident in which several persons were killed in the Rome vicinity in a week. Last Sunday four were killed and four injured in a crash south of here.
Coroner Cox said MISS METTOT suffered a brain concussion, possible skull fracture and severe lacerations about the face. He said MRS. JENKS suffered a possible skull fracture and JESSE JOHN MILLER severe lacerations and chest contusions.
MISS METTOT and MRS. JENKS, he said, were the "most critically injured" of the three and "might die before morning."
