OHIO WOMAN IS AMONG 14 DEAD IN HOTEL FIRE.

14 BODIES RECOVERED FROM CHARRED EMBERS OF NEW YORK RESORT -- 18 ARE STILL MISSING.

SCORES OF INJURED STILL IN HOSPITAL AFTER MIDNIGHT TRAGEDY.

Haines Falls, N. Y., July 15 -- (AP) -- Fourteen bodies have been recovered at noon today from the ruins of the Twilight Inn which was burned early yesterday. Two of the bodies were identified. They were DR. G. LIVINGSTON BISHOP, a retired Episcopalian clergyman of Philadelphia, and MRS. CORNELIUS P. ERKENBACKER, of Cincinnati.
Identification of the other twelve bodies and of others who may be taken from the ruins will be almost impossible in the absence of wearing apparel or other marks. Two bodies found in the basement of the hotel today were but charred bits of bone and ashes.
A large number of relatives of former guests at the inn came here today to assist in identification. The list of missing remained at approximately eighteen and the hotel management fears that all lost their lives. A score of injured persons still are in the Tannersville emergency Red Cross hospital.

Tannersville, N. Y., July 15 -- (AP) -- Search was made today in the ruins of the Twilight Inn for additional bodies of guests and employes believed to have lost their lives when flames turned the three story wooden structure into a roaring furnace yesterday.
Eleven bodies had been recovered from the smoking mass of the debris that marked the site of the hotel.
A revised list of the missing, issued by the inn contained 18 names, eleven of them women and two children. The bodies already rescued counted for eleven of these but they were charred beyond recognition.
MISS HANNA HYATT, thru here knowledge of Twilight Inn enabled 12 guests trapped on an upper floor, to escape.
Cornered in a hallway from which escape seemed impossible, she remembered a trap door in the floor of a small porch nearby, which would lead to a fire escape. This she pointed out to the guests, all of whom escaped uninjured. MISS HYATT started down, fell and broke two ribs.
