CLEANING SOLVENT BLAST KILLS THREE.

New York, Sept. 4. (AP) -- An explosion hurled flaming cleaning solvent on a dozen persons in a Queens apartment late last night, killing three of them and critically injuring eight others.
Firemen said a five-gallon can of cleaning fluid somehow became ignited during a holiday house cleaning "bee" in a newly rented apartment.
Several hours after the blast, three of the victims, CLEO SHELTON, 23; FRED TILLMAN, 12, and BEVERLY SHELTON, 2, died in a hospital.
