OUTFIELDER FALLS INTO A PICNIC BONFIRE

NEW YORK, July 17.---Flex Fox, left fielder on a semi-professional New York team, is in Staten island hospital suffering from injuries received in a game yesterday.

He was running to catch a fly ball when he tumbled headfirst into a bonfire that picnicers[sic] had lighted on the far edge of the field. Although badly burned from head to foot he is expected to recover.
