Bayonne City, NJ Drowning, Jul 1880

Harry Barney, aged 12, the son of Nathan Barney, of Bayonne City, in company with several other small boys from the Latourette House, went bathing in the Kills in front of that hotel yesterday. He ventured beyong[sic] the limit of safe bathing, and was drowned. The body was found near the place where he sank.
