STORM AT ASBURY PARK

Lightning and Hail Caused Considerable Damage

Special to The Inquirer

ASBURY PARK, July 9.- A severe electrical storm visited Asbury Park and Ocean Grove to-day and did serious damage. Lightning struck the immense flag-pole in Railroad square and shattered it. The Coliseum Building, the car barn at Allenhurst, and the toboggan chute at Deal were all damaged by the high wind.

Travel on the electric railroad was delayed for several hours on account of fallen wire. The excitement was increased by horses coming in contact with charged wires. Much damage was done by a severe hail storm which followed the rain fall.
