Paterson, NJ Train Accident, abt 1876

About four years ago Julius Murch was run over and had an arm taken off at the Erie Depot at Paterson. He began a suit against the company, which he withdrew when the company appointed him flagman at one of the street crossings in Paterson, where he recently distinguished himself by stopping Mrs. Charles Danforth's runaway team, at the imminent risk of his own life. The company has recently cut his pay down and he has left its employ and recommended his suit for damages for the loss of his arm.
