4 KILLED AS TRUCK, CAR COLLIDE IN N. J.

Paramus, N.J., Nov. 24 -- (AP) -- A tractor-trailer collided headon with a car on Rt. 17 here today, killing four persons, including three members of one family. The driver of the truck escaped uninjured.
Police identified the victims as:
CAROL NEILSON, 21, of Troy, N.Y.
SALLY NEILSON, 16, her sister.
GERALD NEILSON, 12, their brother.
ALFRED SNYDER, JR., 25, the driver of the car, of Nassau Lake, N.Y., a student at Siena college in Albany.
They were returning from a visit to the NEILSON'S brother, JOHN NEILSON, JR., a soldier stationed at Ft. Dix.
The NEILSONS were the children of JOHN J. NEILSON, who was killed in action in France during World War II. Their mother died about two years ago.
The driver of the truck, ERASMUS G. COWART, 29, of Secaucus, told police SNYDER cut in front of him and he was unable to stop in time to prevent the collision.
The accident took place near Rt. 4 about eight miles west of the George Washington Bridge.
