Millville, NJ Private Plane Crash, Nov 1964
4 LOSE LIVES WHEN PLANE FALLS IN N. J.
Millville, N.J. (AP) -- A business executive, his 2-year-old daughter and two of his household employes were killed Wednesday night when their single-engine airplane crashed at Millville Municipal Airport during a rainstorm.
The plane, with the four persons and two dogs aboard plummeted down not far from a housing development just after takeoff.
Dead were DAVID DOWS, JR., 46, of Mauricetown, a founder and director of Airwork Corp. located at the airport; his daughter, GWENDOLYN; DOWS' gardener, OTTO KEPAL, about 61, and KEPAL'S wife, SOPHIE, about 58, a housekeeper. The dogs also were killed.
DOWS intended to pilot the Beechcraft Bonanza to La Guardia Airport to meet his wife, ALICE, a daughter of the late Hearst editor, Arthur Brisbane. He and his wife maintained an apartment in New York City.
