North Bergen, NJ Casket Company Fire, Dec 1922

Flames Wreck $50,000 Plant of New Jersey Casket Company at North Bergen.

Fire early yesterday morning practically destroyed the plant of the New Jersey Casket Company, 5,257 Hudson Boulevard, North Bergen, causing a loss estimated at $50,000. For a time it was feared the flames would spread to other buildings in the vicinity, and calls were sent to Guttenburg, West New York and Union Hill for fire apparatus. The combined fire fighting forces kept the flames in check but could not save the building of the casket company, a structure 75 by 50 feet and one story high. The origin of the fire was not determined.
