Nashua, NH Hack Stables Fire, Jan 1892

LOSSES BY FIRE.

At 6 o'clock yesterday morning a fire broke out in the hack stables of Marsh & Howard, on Lowell Street, Nashua, N. H. The fire burned rapidly and the stables were destroyed. Eleven horses, ten hacks, one barouche, twelve tons of hay, grain, harness, &c., were also burned. March & Howard's loss, $6,000; insurance, $4,400. The stables were owned by the heirs of C. R. McClarly and Early, whose loss will be $3,000; insured for $2,000. The origin of the fire is a mystery.
