Fremont, NH Carriage Factory and Sawmill Fire, Aug 1882

The carriage factory owned by Mr. G. E. Whittier, and a saw mill, the property of Mrs. John Whittier, in Fremont, N. H., were burned on Thursday night. The loss on the factory is $7,000; insurance, $4,000. The loss on the saw mill is $2,000; no insurance. The fire was of accidental origin. Numerous operatives are thrown out of employment.
