Exeter, NH Storm, Jun 1903

A fierce rain storm, accompanied by a heavy wind, struck Exeter just before noon, and continuing all the afternoon, was progressing late tonight. A very large amount of water fell. Although there was a brisk wind blowing, there was not much damage done. A large maple tree in front of Prof. George A. Wentworth's house on Front street was blown down, while a large number of trees lost their branches. The crops were too small to be very much effected. Crossed wires caused one blast of the fire alarm at noon.
