Ruth, NV Mine Accident May 1953

Accident Fatal To Mine Employe
CHESTER EMIL ERICKSON, 41, a Kennecott employe at Ruth, died Tuesday afternoon from injuries sustained while working on an electric shovel.
An inquest was conducted into the death yesterday.
Mr. Erickson, who had been employed at Ruth since October 13, 1952, was working as a machinist helper at the time. He is survived by his father, Emil J Erickson; his widow, Leah Erickson, and three children, William, 18, Joan May, 16, and Edward D., 11.
Arrangements are being made through the local Red Cross to fly William home from Korea where he is stationed with the armed forces.
