THUNDERBOLT PILOT KILLED NEAR DAYKIN.
Bruning, Neb. (AP) -- A P-47 Thunderbolt pilot was killed Friday when his plane crashed in a cornfield three miles east of Daykin, Neb., it was announced Friday night by Col. C. D. McAllister, commander of the Bruning army air field. Name of the pilot is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
