Colon, NE Training Plane Crash, June 1945

TWO FLIERS MEET DEATH IN CRASH.

Lincoln, Neb., June 20. -- (INS) -- Two fliers from the Lincoln army air field were killed when their training plane crashed three miles northwest of Colon, Neb., late yesterday, officers at the Lincoln base today revealed.
The dead were:
Flight Officer JOE R. KLINE, 23, copilot, Detroit, Mich.
Second Lieut. KENNETH E. PARSH, pilot, Virden, Ill.
The plane struck a tree and plunged 200 yards to crash in a pasture.
