EXPLOSION CAUSED BY GRAIN DUST.

Lexington, Neb. (UPI) -- A grain dust explosion accompanied by a huge ball of fire tore through an eleavator at the David Harum Mills Tuesday, blowing two employees working near the top of the 120-foot high structure onto the frozen ground below.
One of the employees, TOM TITUS, JR., 28, Smithfield, died at the Tri-County Hospital about three hours after the incident while the other, RICK HILL, 20, Lexington, was listed in critical condition.
A hospital spokesman said today although HILL was in critical condition he was "stable" and "is expected to survive." The spokesman said HILL suffered a fractured skull and a dislocated pelvis.
Authorities theorized grain dust caused the explosion, which blew itself out and thus prevented additional fire.
