FATAL WRECK.

ST. PAUL, Dec. 15.----A special to the Pioneer Press from Kalispell, Mont., says:

A bad wreck occurred one miles west of Essex station in the Rocky mountain this morning at 2 o'clock, to the west bound passenger train. After the baggage, a mail car and smoker had passed, the rails spread and the whole of the train following was derailed and some cars turned over, while all were more or less wrecked.

One man, Otto Erickson, from Sweden enroute[sic] to California, was killed. Seven others were injured, three old ladies, a young girl and three men whose names cannot be learned at this time.
