Runaway Hayrack Runs Over Rancher Near Wolf Creek

Helena, Nov. 30, - (AP) – Foreman Art GALLOWAY was walking through a gate on the Rock Creek ranch near Wolf Creek when a hayrack took after him.

The wind-driven rack outran GALLOWAY, ran over him, smashed a gate, headed for an enclosure where 500 calves were corralled and swerved to a stop against a granary.

GALLOWAY was treated here for multiple bruises. He says all hay-racks and wagons on the ranch will be anchored hereafter.
