THREE KILLED IN EXPLOSION AT ST. JOSEPH.

NINE CHILDREN ALSO INJURED IN TWO BLASTS THAT WRECK BRICK BUILDINGS.

POLICE HUNT TWO ALLEGED BOMBERS.

EXPLOSIONS OCCURRED IN DENSELY POPULATED SECTIONS -- GLASS BLOWN SIX BLOCKS AWAY.

St. Joseph, Mo., Mar. 13. (A.P.) -- Three persons were killed and nine others, mostly children, were injured in two explosions which wrecked two buildings here this morning.
The first blast demolished a two-story brick building. The second explosion, two hours later, wrecked a building a block away. A large crowd, attracted by the earlier blast, was milling about the street when the second explosion took place.
One of the wrecked buildings housed a grocery store, with a rooming house above. The second building was a residence.
Police expressed belief the blasts were set off by bombers and were seeking two men seen leaving the scene of the first explosion shortly before it occurred. Rumors said the same two men later were seen to throw what appeared to be a bomb into the other bulding which was destroyed. They were said to have been driving a coupe.
Investigation also was being made to determine if escaping gas might have been responsible for the blasts.

LEE URBANSKI, fire chief, said there were no gas connections in the second buildings and expressed belief the building had been blown up by a bomb or other explosives. He declared that while standing at the rear of the structure he saw a man run from a rear door, climb into an automobile and speed from the scene.
The explosions occurred in a densly propulated home section, just south of the business district.
So great was the damage to surrounding property that police lines were established around the neighborhood to prevent looting. Shattered windows and doors offered an easy entrance to stores and dwellings.
All of the dead and injured, except DOROTHY GLOGGNER, who was killed, and MARY AGNES GLOGGNER and J. A. GLOGGNER, who were injured, were victims of the first blast. The initial destruction took place at 2001 South Tenth street.
The second building was located at 2102 South Eleventh street.
