NORBORNE IS FIRE SWEPT.
Norborne, Mo., June 24. -- A business block, with the exception of one store on the corner, wasa entirely destroyed by fire at Norborne Friday morning. The blaze started in the THOMAS grocery store about 5:30. The flames had gained a tremendous headway before they were discovered and the fire department was helpless.
The fire burnt itself out.
It is thought that the disastrous blaze originated from a box of matches. The places that went up in flames besides the grocery store were a millinery establishment, a drug store, jewelry shop and furniture store. All the buildings were on Main street.
