Carrollton, Mo., Sept. 28. -- Saturday night's earthquake was distinctly felt in Carrollton by a number of people. The shock was not at all severe but sufficient to cause furniture to shake, and in a number of instances people who had retired for the night arose from their beds to ascertain the cause of the disturbance.

Marshall, Mo., Sept. 28. -- The earthquake shock was felt by a number of citizens in this city about 10:50, being most severe to those on the second and third floors of buildings. The shock lasted about ten seconds. No damage has been yet reported. The citizens who felt the shock were more or less frightened.

A heavy rain visited this section, the first in two months, which is believed to be largely due to the disturbance of Saturday night.
