FIRE MARSHAL CHECKING BLAZE.
Nevada, Mo. (AP) -- The state fire marshal's office and Vernon County sheriff's office were investigating a mobile home fire in which a man was killed near here Sunday.
Authorities said they were investigating the death of SAM BASS, 53, as a possible case of arson.
Coroner Ingles Ferry said BASS died of smoke inhalation and intense heat.
The fire was confined to the living room of the trailer home as neighbors extinguished the blaze with a garden hose. The body was found in the bedroom.
