Withstands Bolt

Poplar Bluff, Mo., June 4. (AP) – Lightning hit Robert HILL, 57 – year-old farm hand near Broseley yesterday afternoon and doctors marvel at the fact that he is still alive. His clothing was in shreds, his shoes ripped from his feet and the lenses in his eyeglasses were shattered by the bolt. HILL was unconscious for some three hours before found by other workmen in the field but today he appeared to be recovering. He accredits rubber soles on his shoes with having saved his life.
