MARGARET VEITCH, a 15-year-old girl of 307 Eleventh avenue west, received serious injuries in a coasting accident at 10:30 o'clock last night. Ten boys and girls who were on a bob with her sustained minor hurts.
The sleigh crashed into a team on Superior street west, throwing the members of the party in every direction. Miss VEITCH was the only one unable to go to her home. An ambulance was called and she was taken to St. Luke's hospital suffering from a compound fracture of the right fore leg.
The party was sliding from Fifth street down to Superior and all had gone well for some time when the team happened in the way. The young man who was steering had no chance to throw his load into a snowbank, as the bob was practically under the hoofs of the horses before the danger was fully comprehended.
It was stated at the hospital that Miss VEITH'S injury is so severe that it will be many months before she can regain the use of her limb.
