RUINS COLLAPSED.

WALLS OF A BURNED MANKATO BLOCK GO DOWN BEFORE A GALE.

Mankato, Minn., March 16. -- During the afternoon the walls of the Young Men's Investment company's building collapsed, sending a mass of brick and mortar through three adjoining buildings.
JOHN C. NOE'S building, occupied by himself and Senator GEORGE T. BARR on the first floor and DR. and MRS. GRANT on the second, was completely wrecked, together with its contents; about $8,000. W. H. PAY and family occupied rooms in the adjoining building, with a loss of $1,000. B. D. PAY'S residence was damaged to the extent of $200. The wind had swayed the walls all the forenoon, and the people in the adjoining buildings and spectators kept their distance.
