WELL DIGGER BLOWN TO BITS BY EXPLOSION

TRACY, Minn., June 22. - William Rogers, a well digger, was blown to pieces yesterday afternoon by dynamite. His entire shop was destroyed; the blast left nothing standing but a few beams. Parts of Rogers' body were strewn over a distance of 300 feet, and one piece was found among the branches of a tree.

Regers [sic] appeared to be in a despondent mood over a garnishment that had just been served on him. It is generally thought, however, that the explosion was accidental.

The Duluth News - Tribune, Duluth, MN 23 Jun 1908
