"RED" POWERS LOSES LEG UNDER TRAIN AT HULL PIT

HIBBING, June 22. - "Red" Powers, a young switchman at the Hull pit, lost one leg and may lose an arm as the result of an accident at the mine this noon. Powers slipped under a train and the leg was crushed up to the knee while one arm was badly torn. He was taken to a hospital where the injured members were attended to.

The loss is an especially hard one for the young man as he was a member of the local baseball team and pitched in the game against Chisholm yesterday, winning handily.
