FIRE AT KALAMAZOO, MICH., CAUSES DEATH OF ONE MAN.

KALAMAZOO, Mich., Dec. 5.---Fire in the Oscar Combinsky company's four-story rag shop this afternoon caused the death of one man, seriously injured another, and a property loss of $200,000. It is said the latter is partially covered by insurance.

Will Compton, a traveling salesman from Toledo, was struck down by a fire engine on the way to the fire, and died an hour later, Edward Fisher, a fireman, was overcome by smoke and is in serious condition in a local hospital.
