Terrific Boiler Explosion.

PONTIAC, Mich., Jan. 31--A boiler explosion which shook the town occurred Monday morning in the bursting of a large boiler at W. F. Stewart & Co.’s carriage body works. The building, a large one, is a complete wreck. Fifty employes are thrown out of work. The casualties were serious. Those dangerously injured were George La Tourette, engineer, injured about the face; Arnold McCoy, seriously injured by a spike entering his leg; Henry Taylor, seriously bruised; F. Wilson, watchman, injured internally. Several received slight injuries. There is no available insurance. The loss has not been estimated.
