BIG FIRE AT LUDINGTON.

Damage of $200,000 in Three Hours.

Ludington, Mich., June 18--At 11:30 yesterday morning fire was discovered in Steckler’s saloon, near to the business centre of the city, and spread rapidly in spite of all effort to check its progress. In three hours damage was done to the amount of $200,000. The following are the principal places burned down: Postoffice, Ludington Record office, Western Union Telegraph office, Claitons’s block, containing law and insurance offices, hardware and grocery stores, Temperance hall, Congregational church, Episcopal church and parsonage, Methodist church and parsonage, three drug stores, four millinery stores, two furniture stores, two merchant tailors’ and clothing houses, several first-class dry goods and grocery houses, besides a large number of private residences, in all covering about four blocks.
