RAILROAD ACCIDENT.
A WASHED-OUT CULVERT CAUSES DEATH AND DESTRUCTION.
Fall River, Mass., Feb. 13. -- News has reached this city that a bad accident occurred on the Old Colony railway, at Asoonet Station. The accident was due to the washing out of a culvert by the heavy rain that has prevailed in this section for the past twenty-four hours.
The train consisted of an engine and twenty-five or thirty coal cars. The only death reported is that of the fireman, who was buried beneath the mass of debris. The engineer and other train men are reported to have escaped without injury. The entire train was precipitated into the culvert.
