Five Slightly Hurt In Two-Car Crash

PALMER—Three Springfield persons were among five who were slightly injured in a two-car accident early Sunday morning on Route 20 a short distance west of Shearer’s Corner.

Taken to Wing Memorial Hospital and released after treatment were Josephine T. Clemons, 37, of 181 Marion St., John Almedia, 38, of 167 Marion St., Samuel E. Neil, 33, of 51 Clarendon St., all of Springfield, and Mrs. Jules H. Gauthier of 76 Proulx Ave., Southbridge.

According to police the cars were operated by Gauthier and William De Boise, 25, of 50 Water St., Palmer. Patrolmen Almanzar Renaud and Harold Olson are investigating. The cars had to be towed away.
