Springfield, MA Runaway Accident, Jan 1907

Three young men, two of them being linemen from Springfield, were concerned in a runaway on Broad street, yesterday morning. In driving down the street the horse became frightened at the Pope company automobile and bolted into the yard of John T. Way. The sleigh was overturned and the men were thrown out. One of them landed on the sidewalk and bruised his shoulder. The horse ran through Mr. Way's yard to Court street and then ran down Pleasant street. The sleigh was dragged in its overturned condition and was somewhat broken.
