Ashland, MD Train Wreck, Sept 1892
QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY.
Wm. Handy Killed by a Train of Cars--Activity in Centreville.
[Special Dispatch to the Baltimore Sun.]
CENTREVILLE, MD., Sept. 23.---At Ashland, a few miles above here, a passenger named Wm. Handy got off a special train last night, coming from the Dover fair, and this morning his mangled body was found some distance above the station. It is supposed that he started to walk up the track and was struck by the special, which returned to Townsend as soon as it had left its passengers at Centreville. An inquest will be held this evening.
