Machia, ME Train - Meat Cart Wreck, May 1903

FATALLY INJURED.

Martin Redmond Struck by a Train at East Machias.

Machias, Me. May 19--A west bound train on the Washington County railroad struck Martin Redmond, while driving his meat cart over the lower crossing at East Machias, today. Mr. Redmond was thrown high into the air and was not expected to live more than a few hours. He was 80 years old. His horse was instantly killed.
