SAWMILL FIRE

Lumber Plant at Aldenbridge, La., Is Destroyed.

Shreveport, La., Aug. 26.---Fire this afternoon destroyed the greater portion of the large mill plant and yards of the lumber firm of Whited & Wheeless, at Aldenbridge, a small station on the Cotton Belt road about twenty miles north of Shreveport. The plant was one of the largest in the State. Details of the fire and the amount of the loss and insurance were not obtainable at a late hour this evening.
