HORTON, Kas., April 12.---A storm that dipped down of farms and villages and at times blew with the twisting peculiarities of a tornado passed over Northern Jackson County and through Brown County in Northeastern Kansas between 4 and 5 o'clock this afternoon. A little, girl who had sought refuge in a schoolhouse that was destroyed was killed, another is reported dead and many persons were injured. The homes of many farmers are gone, livestock lies dead along the storm's path and hundreds of barns between here and White Cloud in the northwest part of Doniphan County are blown away.

GERALDINE MEISENHEIMER, 10 years old, daughter of George Meisenheimer; killed in a schoolhouse near Robinson, Kas.

School had just been dismissed in the Diamond District near the little town of Robinson, the first station east of Hiawatha on the St. Joseph & Grand Island Railway, but seeing the clouds, four little girls remained in the schoolhouse. Then the storm struck the school, destroyed it, killing Geraldine Meisenheimer, 10 years old, daughter of George Meisenheimer, and injuring the other three children.
