Cimarron, KS Light Plane Crash, Mar 1947
TWO KANSANS KILLED IN CRASH OF LIGHT PLANE.
Garden City, March 24 (AP) -- Two young southwest Kansans were killed when a light plane crashed and burned Sunday night near Cimarron, the CAA reported here today.
REX HEWES, about 25, of Charleston, owner of the plane, and his passenger, MARVIN MAGOUIRK, 27, were the victims. The plane was reported to have gone into a spin at 1,000 feet and burned on the ground.
HEWES, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Hewes of Ingalls, is survived by his wife and two children. MAGOUIRK, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Magouirk of Cimarron, is survived by his wife.
