SHOE STORE BURNED.

Forest City, Iowa, May 31. -- Fire broke out in the shoe store of ABRAHAM BALLOU and nearly destroyed the building and stock, but the building and those contiguous to it were saved by the prompt action of the fire department. Nothing is known as to how the fire originated, and it is supposed to have been of incendiary origin. The stock was insured for $1,000.
