TERRIFIC WIND STORM OCCURS AT SIGOURNEY.

Canvas of Harris Nickel Plate Shows Blown Down--No One Killed, but Several Were Seriously Injured---Stampede Narrowly Averted.

Sigourney, June 12.---(Special)---A terrific windstorm occurred here today. The canvas of the Harris Nickel Plate railway show was blown down and between six and seven hundred people were left uncovered in one of the heaviest rainfalls of the season.

Between fifty and sixty people were struck by poles and caught under the heavy canvas. No one was killed, but several were seriously injured. William A Bell of the Bell show print held back the crowd and prevented a stampede.

Miss Clara Campbell, age 20 years, was hurt about the back, and may not recover.

Samuel Utterback was seriously injured about the head.

The injuries of the others were slight. The tent was crowded at the time of the accident.
