ONE MAN DEAD; MANY HURT IN WEBSTER COUNTY, IA.
OMAHA (AP)--- A special to the World-Herald at noon Wednesday says tornadoes Tuesday afternoon practically destroyed the towns of Harcourt, Dayton and Lena, small towns in Webster county, Ia., killed DAVID ANDERSON and injured a number, including school children who were caught in the storm. The tornado came from the southwest at 3:45 in the afternoon.
Anderson was killed while trying to get to his cyclone cellar. The house was destroyed.
The storm struck the school wagon from Lanyon and tore it to pieces. Every child in the wagon at the time was injured severely.
At Lena the railroad station and all buildings were wrecked. At Dayton houses were wrecked and grain elevators were destroyed.
