El Paso, IA Tornado, Jun 1902

At El Paso, twenty miles north of Bloomington, the town hall, containing all the fire apparatus, was destroyed with its contents. The tower on the building, eighty feet high, was blown off and carried a hundred feet.

The storm was general throughout McLean county. Trains were all delayed by washouts, but the service on all roads is gradually being resumed tonight.

Des Moines Daily Leader, Des Moines, IA 12 Jun 1902
