Denison, IA Tornado Damages Town, June 1895

AN IOWA TORNADO

Denison, Ia., June 19 -- Denison and vicinity were visited by a tornado which did damage estimated at $15,000 to houses, barns and windmills. One frame country schoolhouse was blown away. The farmhouse of JOHN DEZ was demolished, his wife was killed and other members of the family were injured. More than 100 trees in the city were destroyed.
