PLANE CRASHES NEAR HOME OF FARMER.

Maxwell -- (AP) -- An army bomber crashed near here during a snow and wind storm about 6 a.m. Monday and persons who inspected the wreckage said six fliers were killed.
It was not determined immediately whether any other fliers were aboard. Robert Postal, mail carrier who was among the first to reach the scene, said one body lay a short distance from the wreckage and at least five were visible in the debris.
The plane crashed on the Cleat Donahoo farm two miles north and two miles east of here. The scene of the crash was 40 miles northeast of Des Moines.
Mr. and Mrs. Donahoo witnessed the crash from their bedroom window. They said an explosion apparently occurred before the ship fell and it was burning as it reached the ground. The Maxwell fire department was called. The wreckage was still burning at 10 a.m.
The plane fell in a pasture about 80 yards south of the Donahoo barn.
The wreckage, revealed nine pieces of luggage, but only the six bodies were visible.

IDENTIFY VICTIMS OF BOMBER CRASH.

Kearney, Neb. (AP) -- Names of seven Kearney Air Base fliers killed when a Kearney-based bomber crashed near Maxwell, Ia., early Monday in a snow and wind storm were released Monday night by Col.
Charles C. Coppin, commanding officer.
Ten were aboard the craft but whether others were killed was not disclosed. Those named by Colonel Coppin were:

Sgt. CLIFFORD W. LYNUM, Rt. 2, Yankton, S.D.
Sgt. LORRAINE M. HOLTHOUSE, Clymer, N.Y.
