FOUR BURNED TO DEATH.
A Fatal Fire and Explosion in Hartford City, Ind.
HARTFORD CITY, Ind., Feb. 23.---By an explosion following a fire, discovered in the Dick Building, early to-day, four persons lost their lives and three were injured. The explosion lifted the third floor and dropped it down on the second. Every house in the city was shaken by the explosion. Flames enveloped the Dick, the Willman, and the Mason buildinigs.
Four charred bodies were taken from the ruins. They were identified as those of LEWIS LAFORGE and wife, JAMES BONE, and WILLIAM LEWIS.
The injured are JOHN BALLARD, NATHANIEL RINKER, and JOSEPH YOUNTZ.
Other bodies, it is believed, are buried in the ruins.
