NORMAL ATHLETE KILLED.

MUNCIE, Ind., May 27.----BYRON HOOVER, 19 years old, a student at the Indiana State Normal school, eastern division, was killed, and his companion, Harold Smith, 18, was seriously injured early today when their automobile was hit by a cut of cars at the Twelfth street crossing of the Lake Erie & Western railroad. Hoover was a resident of Springport, south of here, and he was well known athlete, being a star player on the Muncie Y. M. C. A. Midgets, state champion basket ball team. Smith resides near Sulphur Springs, Henry county.
