SEVEN KILLED IN CRASH OF TRAIN.

South Bend, Ind., Sept. 27 (AP) -- Seven persons were killed here Sunday as "The Pacemaker," fast Chicago to New York passenger train, of the New York Central Railroad struck an automobile at the Arnold Street crossing.
All of the bodies were badly mangled and were scattered in the wreckage of the automobile for six blocks, the distance it took the speeding train to stop.
P. C. Myers, of Elkhart, the crossing watchman, said he signaled frantically for the automobile to stop when he saw it approaching the crossing. The occupants of the car were laughing, however, and apparently saw neither his signals nor the train.
Because of the condition of the bodies authorities were unable to make a positive identification but the seven were identified tentatively as:
MRS. JOSEPHINE MICHALSKI, about 40.
CHRISTINE PRUSYNSKI, about 10.
VALENTINE MICHALSKI, about 35.
ISADORE MICHALSKI, about 41.
GENEVIEVE LOGOCKI, about 50.
MICHAEL PRUSYNSKI, about 28.
JOSEPH PRUSYNSKI, about 40.
All of South Bend.
