Four Hurt in Pulaski Car Crash
Two Automobiles Collide Near Bethel Church North of Riley; One Motorist in Hospital
Winamac, Ind., Oct. 18-Two persons were seriously injured and two others suffered severe cuts and bruises in an automobile collision Monday morning at 10 o’clock north of Ripley near the Bethel church.
Most seriously injured is John W. Fogglesong, of Rochester, driver of the Burns bread truck, who sustained undetermined internal injuries.
Virgil Barker, driver of the other automobile in which his wife and her brother, Albert Locke, all of Winamac, were riding, was also seriously injured. He suffered severe cuts to the shoulders and head, and a bruised hip.
Mrs. Barker and Locke sustained severe cuts and bruises.
Both automobiles were badly damaged when the Fogglesong vehicle, enroute west, and the Barker car, headed south, crashed at the intersection of two country roads at the church. The rain and mist which obstructed the vision of the drivers was believed to have been largely responsible for the accident.
Fogglesong was rushed to the Carneal Hospital in the Kennedy ambulant. Occupants of the other car were treated for their injuries at the office of Dr. H.J. Halleck and removed to their home Monday afternoon.
